 Wrath Of Wolves
« Thread Started on Apr 7, 2008, 8:07pm »

Forged from the ashes of the hot desert winds and inspired by the sounds of some of the greatest 80’s metal bands as well as some of the greatest classical virtuosos of all time, this is a Wrath of Wolves. A neo classical metal studio ensemble founded by Anthony Storm (Blackstorm, Season of Pain, Faust). Since the demise of (US) based symphonic black metal band Blackstorm in 2000 Storm has returned to his roots of neo classical axe grinding and left the genre of black metal all together. Inspired by his influences of the 80’s with bands like Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Exodus, Death, Rising Force, Destruction, Racer X, Cacophony, Annihilator, Anthrax, Slayer and Metallica Storm has created a beast! Also heavily influenced by shredders like Swedish legend Yngwie Malmsteen (Rising Force, Alcatrazz, Steeler) and Swedish axe grinder Andy LaRoque (King Diamond, Death) as well as Michael Denner and Hank Sherman (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond) this has brought about an ominus and unique shredding sound to Storm’s arsenal of sonic terror that is now being unleashed!
Being a long time fan of Yngwie Malmsteen since the release of Rising Force back in 1984 Storm knew he would need musicians of the right caliber and who understood the style of neo classical metal. Following Yngwie’s career Storm contacted drummer Patrick Johannson after hearing Patrick on several of Yngwie’s albums as well as Patrick’s previous endeavors from Without Grief and knew that Patrick had the ability to pack a punch for the Wrath of Wolves. In late 2007 Storm contacted Patrick and asked if he would perform drums on the Wolves’s first full length. Patrick asked to hear some of the material and Storm sent him a raw demo. Patrick called Storm back after hearing the material and agreed that he would like to do the album. Storm told Patrick that it would be sometime in 2008 before they would be able to start production on the album and both parties agreed to stay in touch until studio time had been booked. So, pre-production has begun and the Wolves are preparing for a CD that will definitely define the band as well as place them on the map. Keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Planet X) was contacted via email by Storm to play keys on the full length as well. Derek replied that he would also perform on the Wolves full length and to simply notify him when the band was ready for him.

Absolutely false. The drummer of Yngwie never played in them. He was to consider playing for them and they used a drum machine on the recording but, this is the same blokes that go around saying that Justin Basil instead of Justin L. "Animal" Diamond was in their previous group Blackstorm. This is for no other reason than the fact that they were ashamed to have had a Jew in their band. This con-artist also claims to have played in Massacre with the mighty Kam Lee ex-drummer/singer of Mantas, Death,Massacre,Coprophagia, and Denial Fiend. Go ahead and ask Kam Lee himself about this person. Search for Denial Fiend on Myspace and inquire for more information as to whether Kam Lee ever practiced with this poser.
