So far Helloween/Gamma Ray hold the title for 2008 so far...

Iron Maiden is THE band.
I saw them live last Friday for the tour Somewhere Back In Time and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Bruce Dickinson is in better shape than me and he's 30+ years older!!

To put this way, it was better than sex. ;D

He's like 56 years old or something like that No, that's not correct. In fact, he turns 50 this August

It's only when you see Maiden live that you realize just how good they are. It gets a bit fashionable to slag 'em off sometimes. Then you see them live and.. ;D
I'm hoping that they do some gigs a bit further Ooop North Haib.

Iron Maiden are fantastic. They've had a couple of rubbish albums, but on the whole they're a real solid band. "Powerslave" is, and will always be, one of my all-time favourite albums.
I agree with newbie - they're AWESOME live!

They usually announce after a major festival gig so as to get as many people to go to that than wait for theone closer to them.

I really loved seeing them live. It was pretty awesome, plus they played their older songs, which was really awesome. One of the best concerts I have been to.

Just watched a bootleg from their recent show in my city. Damn I wish I was there, Bruce just gets better and better with age. Setlist was freaking awesome and the fans were so loud and nuts. No matter how much I love Maiden, I still hate Janick Gers. I swear he must have a stipulation in his contract that forces the band to keep him. Almost the whole show he stood on the right side of the stage by himself while Adrian, Steve, & Dave all hung together. Also, I noticed does less solo's than he has in the past as Adrian seems to have gotten his songs back. Gers just looks like a fool on stage dancing around doing kicks and swinging his guitar around.

Did you hear about the situation in Sydney where Bruce freaked out on Janick because he screwed up the Pyro at the end of the show by standing right over it so the techs couldn't let it off. He berated it him at the edge of the stage and then gave him a public dressing down as you can see in this clip....

Are you more used to hearing American English...? That could explain why. I encountered that sometimes when I was in Korea. Some people could not understand me because I had an English accent and use British phrases.
I understand Bruce perfectly ;D

I understand Bruce perfectly ;D Actually I usualy understand British English better than American but it's just a matter of pronunciation and "speed". I don't understand a person that talks at the speed of light spiting 2,000 words per minute since I never had any "talking" practice in my life sometimes I could get a little bit confused but if they talk slowly and clearly, I can easily understand them. Except for Bruce Dickinson. He's my pain in the ass when it comes about English

Thats awesome. It's great to see Janick get humiliated live. I can't express enough how much I can't stand him.
